It coincides with the concept of the wizard, the warrior and the wimp (trainee).

Japanese treasure chest focus on three important objects: the jewel (gold), the sword and the mirror. Each one of them depicts our perspective about life and its meaning.

The Gold (Jewel): This is a symbol of prestige, royalty and affluence. That?s what everybody is looking for?at least so it seems. I read a book titled, ?If Money Isn?t God, Let?s Quit Worshipping It.? Anything you place above God becomes not your jewel, but your idol. Acquisition of material wealth is the most dominant factor in the life of so many people. That?s why folks can do anything for money or work for money. Yet in Japanese mythology, money is just a tool?a means to an end and not the end by itself. Making decisions and seeing the world from the perspective of money is a sacrilege.

Always reach the

Always reach the final posture slowly through the intermediate postures. Master all these postures slowly one by one.

The movement of each body part should be done under complete control of the muscles exercised. This is achieved only after practicing for a certain period of time. There should be no jerks or violent movements. Each step should be executed easily, smoothly and gracefully. Initially, when you start learning the yoga, there is a tendency to use muscles not concerned with the specified movement. But over a period of time with due practice, you can eliminate the unproductive muscular activity. As you progress, you learn to use only the specified muscles for contraction or stretching while the other muscles are kept relaxed.

Avoid rushing into the final position of any posture, unless you have thoroughly mastered the intermediate stages. Always proceed as far as comfortably you can and hold this pose for some time.

Ernst & Young Q3 Oil & Gas Outlook: Bright Spots Emerge Despite

0 Comments | U.S. Newswire, Jul 28, 2010

HOUSTON, July 28 /PRNewswire/ — While signs of economic stability surfaced at the close of Q1, the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, followed by less-than-positive consumer and business confidence reports, have created considerable uncertainty for the oil and gas industry.

“The energy industry is facing significant unknowns right now,” said Marcela Donadio, Americas Oil and Gas Leader for Ernst & Young LLP. “The offshore industry in the Gulf of Mexico is effectively at a standstill, awaiting the findings from the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling. At the same time, we are closely watching the markets for any economic developments that could have an impact on demand growth.”

Oil (see data graphs in news release at: http://www.ey.com/US/en/ Newsroom/News-releases)

Oil prices have been remarkably constant. More modest consumption habits and weak developed economies have eased demand pressures creating consistent prices in the $70 to $80 per barrel range for nearly a full year. Pending any swings in the economy, prices are expected to remain relatively stable in the short to medium term.

Natural gas (see data graphs in news release at: http:// www.ey.com/US/en/Newsroom/News-releases)

North American gas fundamentals remain weak driven by fairly weak demand and strong production growth. So far we have not see the kind of demand growth some organizations are expecting for the year. However, producers continue to invest substantially in unconventional gas plays, particularly shale, suggesting a positive long-term outlook. There remains some concern over future regulatory actions that would limit hydraulic fracturing due to potential environmental damage, particularly to water supplies.

Just when we

Just when we thought it was safe to start rebuilding it seems to be starting all over again as Mother Nature Presents; Hurricane Zeta, A New Years Hurricane for All Seasons. Can you believe we now have Tropical Storm Zeta brewing out in the Atlantic Ocean? Is this the Hurricane Season that would not die, will it ever end? Are we entering a new Climate Change where Hurricanes will be all year around? Can humans live in that level of fear? If so there are going to be some serious issues? For instance what about Florida Real Estate prices? And can the giant sand bar we call Florida really exist over the years if we keep watching the beaches erode away?

Well things are not that dire yet, but one has to wonder if the Super Storm scenarios that the science fiction writers and the Global Warming Alarmists are discussing are going to become our reality? After this last 2005 Horrific Tropical Hurricane Season with the most named Tropical Storms, most Hurricanes, longest season and three of the most powerful Category Five Plus Hurricane one can only wonder what 2006 will bring us.

Tieton market hopes to serve town’s Latinos [Derived headline]

0 Comments | Yakima Herald – Republic, Jul 26, 2010 | by Mai Hoang

TIETON, Wash. — One niche the Tieton Farmers Market and Mercado is hoping to serve is the town’s Latino population.

For prospective vendors such as Vidal Ochoa, which makes tamales at Santos Bakery at 810 Wisconsin St., the market is a way not only for Hispanic vendors to have better economic opportunities but also for Latinos to showcase their rich culture.

With 54 percent of its population made up of Hispanics, he said it’s about time the city is known for its Mexican flavor.

“This is like a small Mexico,” said Ochoa, 59, who currently lives in Yakima but lived in Tieton when he first arrived in the U.S. in the early 1990s. “Tieton has the small-town kindness and friendliness that you see in small-town Mexico.”

Vidal was not a vendor at the first market, but he plans to set up a spot next time.

Sybil Martnez, known as Juanita among the Mexican community, works as a paraeducator for Highland High School. She hopes more Latinos, especially immigrants, take part in the new market.

Despite the fact that only two of the 10 vendors at the inaugural market were Latinos, Martnez said she has high hopes for upcoming dates.

“We got it started,” she said

Tourist ads under threat

Tourist ads under threat

Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), July 19, 2010

A CAMPAIGN which has successfully brought tourism cash to the North East is under threat from Government cuts.

Alan Clarke, the boss of development agency One North East – which was behind the Passionate People, Passionate Places marketing campaign – has been told he will need special permission to spend more than pounds 25,000 on adverts selling the region to the world.

But agencies in other regions of the UK are being allowed to continue to promote themselves, as long as they pay others to do the job, rather than doing it in-house.

One North East, which is to be closed down in 2012, has spent pounds 34.5m on promoting the region and says it has seen pounds 105m of private investment in hotels and attractions as a result.

The agency has applied for permission to run another marketing campaign from September to March, but is waiting to be given the go-ahead.

Many tourism operators and hotels rely on the advertisements to increase bookings in the second half of the year.

Shadow regional minister Nick Brown said the Government’s actions would jeopardise hardearned success.

He said: “The Passionate People, Passionate Places campaign has worked very well for us in the region. The development agency did have some difficult decisions to make about how tourism in the region is supported.

“But those decisions have started to pay off with thousands of jobs, and now is hardly the time to put that at risk.

“And why should we be singled out for this? I just don’t think this Government cares at all about our region and that is obvious in decisions such as these.”

ActionPacked! Networks Launches LiveAction 2.0 Software for Managing

0 Comments | Wireless News, Jul 26, 2010

ActionPacked! Networks, a provider of intelligent software for managing Cisco quality-of-service (QoS), announced that version 2.0 of its LiveAction software is now available for download from the ActionPacked! Web site.

LiveAction noted its QoS capabilities in version 2.0 include visual creation and editing of QoS policies, flow visualization and real-time QoS monitoring for analyzing traffic performance before and after QoS policies are applied, routing visualization and policy- based route configuration for troubleshooting and optimizing critical paths, and IP SLA for proactive QoS performance monitoring and testing within a visual, all-in-one management environment.

Following the company’s mission to provide an all-in-one solution for Cisco QoS, ActionPacked! engineers added new quality-of-service related features including built-in rules for viewing and configuring Cisco Hierarchical Queuing Framework (HQF) policies, automated alerts for pre- and post- QoS events, and the ability to view hardware QoS settings and statistics for managing QoS environments. The new version also includes a new web-based portal for generating and distributing over 30 different network status reports and graphs.

“Version 2.0 provides significant enhancements for our customers including support for Flexible NetFlow and NetFlow v9 and the industry’s only complete visualization of IPv6 traffic flows across a live network,” said ActionPacked! founder Nelson Kanemoto. “We’ve added dozens of other new NetFlow features including viewable MAC source and destination addresses and VLANs, ASA support, and NetFlow configuration for Cisco Catalyst 6500 switches and Cisco 7600 routers. We also added historical tracking for IP SLA, and our new html reporting interface makes it easier for network engineers to consolidate, analyze, and share with each other the breadth of information that LiveAction extracts from the network.”

“Our software takes a holistic view of network quality that extends beyond just QoS monitoring,” said Kanemoto

Buyers focusing on new homes

Buyers focusing on new homes

0 Comments | Chattanooga Times Free Press, May 23, 2010

McClatchy Newspapers

CORONA, Calif. — The modest house has yet to be shingled and a stack of drywall sits on the bare concrete floor, but Karame Adesko and her fiance, Pablo Garcia, can envision their future in this developing Corona cul-de-sac.

Adesko and Garcia originally planned to buy one of the many foreclosed properties in Southern California. But after touring several and seeing the pricey repairs they needed, the couple opted to spend $309,000 on a new 1,300-square-foot home.

“You don’t want to spend all this money and then have to fix everything up,” said Adesko, a 27-year-old dance instructor. “I wanted to buy a move-in-ready house.”

Helped by people like Garcia and Adesko, sales of new homes are on the upswing. Nationwide, sales of new homes jumped 27 percent in March from the month before and 24 percent compared with March 2009. Major builders have seen their shares far outperform the Dow Jones industrial average. One builder, Lennar Corp., has seen its shares rocket by about 40 percent.

Experts say new-home sales have been helped by state and federal tax credits, as well as by new tactics by builders adjusting to the no-frills post-bubble environment.

Simple floor plans, stucco facades and energy-saving appliances are in. Mini-mansions with marble countertops, Jacuzzi tubs, big curving staircases and high vaulted ceilings are out.

Builders, too, have grown more cautious. Now many will begin construction only after a buyer has put down a deposit or signed a contract. They include KB Home, the Los Angeles company that’s building Adesko and Garcia’s house. KB shares have risen 13 percent this year.

The firm has scaled back its more elaborate architectural offerings, focusing instead on a collection of simple floor plans it calls its Open Series.

Shea Homes, a privately held builder based in Walnut, Calif., has also introduced a line of smaller homes with modern design, scaled-down master bathrooms and interior spaces that can be reconfigured, said Patrick Duffy, principal for research firm MetroIntelligence Real Estate Advisors
